A duck family in Martha Lake. Today I tried open water swimming with no snorkel. I'm trying to see if I can actually do a triathlon without drowning in the swimming section. So far, so good. We'll see.
July 20
Went to Northwest Trek today with my friends Helen and Margaret! We saw a ton of animals and learned the difference between the cow family and the deer family.

The bite of Seattle is a great place to try new foods you've never had before! What do I always get? Corn on the cob! Who can resist really? And the line is super long all the time! Ha.

Took a run today down to the waterfront and back... and was amazed at the amount of bikes on this bike rack!

I know its not the best picture.. but it tells a story. See, I bought grapes at Costco and were enjoying them. Then I went to open the plastic container they come in and there's a SPIDER in there! Not any old spider. This is a black widow. So I got him/her out of the grapes and put them in a container (still alive... not sure what I'll do with it) but now I'm weary of eating my spider ridden grapes.

Second day of Jury Duty and I got dismissed again (they made a deal before it went to trial) This horse is one of the art pieces around the courthouse.

I had to erase everything off of my hard drive and re-install my operating system for my mac. Took up entirely way too much time... but at least I'm hoping it'll work right now!

I was on my way to run the "Run of the Mill" this morning when I was rear-ended. The woman was acting a bit weird, so the Sheriff talked to her a bit and then started doing a field sobriety test (of which she failed). She got cuffed and charged with DUI at 8 in the morning. Just wrong!

Went for a bike ride today... thought it was funny to see a fall looking leaf on the ground when summer has just finally started.

Ken and I finally made it to the Oregon National Cave Monument. The tour through the caves was amazing! Highly recommended!

Happy fourth of July! This picture is from Gold Beach Oregon (Vacation mecca apparently of Oregon), where I set up to watch the city's fireworks. Loved the sunken boat in the water! If you look closely, you can see flashing lights over the last left part of the bridge. That would be a firetruck. :o)

Ah, the start
So this is the start of my picture taking for a year... I hope to actually keep up on it. I might not post everyday, but I'll definitely be taking a picture everyday. This picture comes from the softball field at Interbay. The other team didn't even show for the game so we decided to take batting practice.
