Two pictures today... Both are from the Museum of Glass. First is of the 'hot shop' where artists work on their pieces right in front of you. Here, they're pouring HOT glass (I think they said 1300 degrees!) into a mold after the artist (Bertil Vallien) created it. The guy on the left actually has scissors to 'cut' the glass from the person pouring. It takes less than five minutes to pour it into the mold, but more than 3 weeks to have that cool to room temperature!
The second picture is of the artist helping out in the wire sculpture area. Amazing what he could do with wire! He shared a bit about his artistry and also about the museum.
